Do we desire to be first, to run the race worthy of obtaining the prize?  What is required of us to achieve this?

If everyone on earth kept just one of God’s Ten Commandments the whole world would be so very much better for doing that and what a difference it would make.   But when Jesus Christ sets up the Kingdom of God on earth, all 10 of the Commandments will be kept and the world will be a completely different place – and so much better for it!   

The story of Joshua offers us inspiration in times of self-doubt. When Moses transferred leadership over the nation of Israel to him, Joshua faced the biggest challenge of his life. With encouragement and reassurance from God, he was able to lead Israel into the promised land, fulfilling his mission.

Some say, love has abolished the law. But the Bible says that love fulfills the law. When we keep the law, we show thereby that we have love. The last six of the Ten Commandments, which regulate our relationship with our neighbor, show us HOW we can love him. At the same time, when we express love toward our neighbor, we love OURSELVES. Each and every commandment that regulates our relationship with our neighbor falls under the heading, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” This sermon shows how we love ourselves when we love our neighbor.

Integrity is a simple word with a whole of life meaning. This message is describing two individuals, Boaz and Ruth, who lived a life of integrity no matter the cost to them, and, of whom, God had no negative criticism.

You must not think that it is impossible for you to depart and fall away from God and return to the filth of the world, after you have come to know God and His Truth. The Bible contains many warnings, as well as explanations of why people fall away and how to prevent it. And it also calls for repentance and a change of heart when we are about to fall away.

This message looks at the time when the word no can actually be positive, rather than negative.  Applying this approach to certain passages in the Book of Revelation we see that the word “no” can be very exciting.  

Beyond the offering we give, have you ever considered what goes with it? That is what I want to address in this sermonette.

Sin has a simple definition in that it is the transgression of God’s law. It is easiest to identify sin by the overt actions that transgress laws directly. Yet, sin is also possible through neglect. On the Christian journey to turn away from sin, it is necessary to discover the ways in which we sin through our inaction, and take the initiative to adopt new behavior.

What is your status quo in your Christian life? Is it OK to remain in a status quo as a Christian or is there more to what we need to be accomplishing? 

 How can we despise the day of small things when God is control?  We can see that what we in the Church are doing is not, by worldly standards, a massive work.   But what we are doing is important to God.   We must surely be at the end of this age of man and with God’s Kingdom just over the horizon, we must do everything we can to get out this warning message.

We demonstrate love for others when we seek the interests of others, showing our concern through outgoing acts of care and generosity. When we bring our offerings to God it expresses our love for Him by demonstrating our willingness to sacrifice of ourselves.

This is the First Holy Day of the seven Days of Unleavened Bread and by our observing this Holy Time, we are picturing the removal of sin from our lives. Furthermore, we are obeying God—this is what true Christians DO!

What is required of us to remain clean in an unclean world, both physically and spiritually?

We should approach the service with anticipation and what it means to us.  We can learn from Jesus who used the example of footwashing to teach his disciples the importance of service to others. He encouraged them to never consider themselves to be “too good” to serve others.  Humble service is a fundamental part of the Christian life and must characterise the life of every disciple of Jesus Christ.

God is willing to reveal His knowledge to you which is opposed to the so-called wisdom of this world, but are you willing to reject this world’s silly philosophies and rather accept and act upon the knowledge of God? And how careful are you not to lose the understanding which God has given to you, while at the same time growing and increasing in His knowledge?

If Donald Trump were ever convicted and imprisoned, could he still run for the Presidency; could he be elected; and could he still operate as President from prison?  If Vladimir Putin were ever arrested in a foreign country, such as Germany or Austria, due to the arrest warrant of the International Criminal Court, what did Russia say it would do to those countries? In other news, we address the postponement of the visit of King Charles in France due to France’s “descent into anarchy”; problems the Biden family is facing; the ongoing bank debacle; calls for the removal of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell; and the liberal “reform” movement of the German Catholic church. 

There are many kinds of deals that are made for various reasons. Throughout the Bible, we read stories about deals being made, oftentimes by those who try to get something in return, which can be good or bad “deals.” What can we learn from these and what is the greatest deal that we can make for the best possible outcome?

In the coming weeks, months and years we are going to be challenged on multiple fronts. The Bible’s warnings about a Christians life are stark. How do we plan on getting through these times? How are we going to react? We are going to have to be tough in ways that we may not be currently prepared for. What can we do to prepare now?
