We are all used to our comfort zones. But this is not where we grow – physically or spiritually.  God wants us to be uncomfortable so that we can learn to rely on Him in our lives. It is when we are uncomfortable that we can grow so that we can accomplish what it is that God wants from us.

The worldly understanding of leadership intimately involves power and the act of wielding such power. The examples that we have in the Bible of leadership have a much different focus. Our crown of leadership promised by God is a result of dedicated servant leadership following the example of Christ.

 A number of examples given show that there is always an effect to the actions that are taken.   So many people seem to think that they can do whatever they want to and never think that there may be pay-back time – a time of consequences.   We have to make sure that the actions we take produce good effects.

Being the few chosen group of people that God has called out of this world is no easy road to travel as we are faced with challenges that only very few people can endure and overcome, something that can only be achieved with God’s help.

We often make claims that the Bible prophesies a coming nuclear war. What are the scriptures that support those claims? What hope is there in bringing an end to the utter destruction that will engulf the face of the earth?

Jesus Christ tells us that where we place our treasure proves what we set our hearts’ desires upon. When considering the offering we make to God on this day of Atonement, we have an opportunity to exercise our heart in a spiritual sense, by giving back to Him.

As Christians, we observe the Day of Atonement understanding the ultimate meaning, and that is the plan God has established to reconcile mankind to Himself through Jesus Christ.

How we live our lives is the most important part of our lives. We all take on as much as we can, so that we feel productive and useful. In our pursuit, though, we can lose sight of the important things. If we try and do simple better, our lives will be better for it. Let us not lose the proper focus we need.

To help us better become perfect and to succeed, we must apply hope, faith and love in our lives.

Just as the Children of Israel were commanded to appear before God, so on this day, the Feast of Trumpets, we are assembled before God at His command to memorialize and mark the sounding of trumpets. It is important to consider the tremendous meaning of this Day according to what God has revealed to us.

The Bible instructs about what is required for true worship, and it warns about false worship. What about your worship—is it true or is it false?

Being convicted by the Holy Spirit can often put us in an uncomfortable position. Knowing what the right course of action is in our lives doesn’t make it easy! However, the strength and faith of Christ provide us with what we need to follow through.

Hypocrisy is a poisonous trait that Jesus condemned in several confrontations during His ministry. Yet, it can be so easy to discover inconsistencies between our behavior and the beliefs that we say we have. What can we do to live a Christian life without hypocrisy?

Satan’s temptation of us is to cause us to fail, but God’s testing of us is for our success. We should always respond to the situation in the same way and that is to overcome all through obedience to God!

The world relies on war to bring about peace, but that is not the way to achieve it.  God never intended wars to be fought in the first place, as the Bible explains, but we are to be peacemakers.  We do however fight against the god of this world.  What do we need to do so we can be victorious?

The words that we speak matter more than we know. When we speak in complaining, negative, grumbling ways – there is scientific and Biblical reasons why we should not be allowing ourselves to do this! We must realize what we are doing and decide what we are going to allow!
