It’s Not My Fault

The “It’s not MY fault” approach seems to permeate so much of society today!   Our approach must be diametrically opposite – when we are wrong – we MUST admit our failings and guilt – because anything other than that would be lying – and therefore breaking one of the 10 Commandments.  Next time we are wrong on some matter and we may think – even for just a fraction of a second that we can get out of it – let us remember that we will have to give account to God for our actions in the future.  That should really concentrate our mind.

Trust

Where do we put our trust, in God or man? As we continue to go through trials, one thing is for sure – look to God and He will give us the desires of our heart.

Vengeance and Revenge!

It is known that Christians are not to avenge themselves. But is it unchristian to long for God’s punishment and revenge on evildoers? Does God want Christians to endure patiently all iniquity and injustice, without ever considering that God will intervene to pay back the wicked? Is true Christianity a religion which demands suffering without the prospect of the execution of God’s justice on His enemies?

Assured of Your Calling

As baptized Christians we have been given one chance at eternal salvation.  We must be aware that our goal is also guided by God’s desire for us.  If we fail to be guided by God, this one chance at eternal life will be lost.

Why does the Bible command us NOT to keep Easter? How is it that nominal Christians feel that it is ok to lie to their children and teach them to keep this pagan holiday?  How do we know that it is a sin to keep this day?
